Many thanks to Jean and Malcolm Sykes for organising this excellent walk. The seven mile walk started in Whitwell in the north east corner of the Chilterns and continued to St. Paul’s Walden, which is well known as the birthplace of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Lunch was at the Maiden Head pub in the centre of Whitwell. It was excellent walking weather. Unfortunately the webmaster was on his way to Devon so was unable to take part. Malcolm kindly undertook to take the photos which appear below.
